CEO Update: Looking ahead with optimism
This holiday season will be the first in a number of years to have a sense of near normality.
Covid has by no means disappeared, especially for those on the frontline of our health system, yet the restrictions we’ve all faced are fading into the background.
We can travel interstate or overseas to visit family or friends – airfare costs aside – and over this time we can gather together with the people we care about with greater confidence and less concern.
A New Year often affords a time for some reflection and it's worth remembering the value of the simple things we once perhaps took for granted in spending time with family and friends – near and far.
Perhaps too an opportunity to be a little less hard on ourselves and acknowledge that we have faced huge changes and challenges in our personal and professional lives in the last few years.
Every individual’s experience is different, and many people are still struggling with the fallout of the last few years managing the pandemic.
But collectively the lucky country has got back on its feet, dusted itself off and got on with it, a little more than a year on from being effectively cut off from the rest of the world. The next challenge of course is navigating the economic uncertainty – never a dull moment.
When I look at the adaptability and resilience that both our clients and the Bartier Perry team have shown during a very challenging time, it gives me a huge sense of optimism for the year ahead.
For Bartier Perry, 2023 will see a raft of new talent joining the firm, a different outlook when you come to visit us and the same commitment to our culture and our clients.
That’s all ahead.
For now, we know how busy you have been in 2022 given how hectic it has been across our practice areas.
We have appreciated the opportunities and matters you’ve entrusted us with. Like you we’re looking forward to a little down time – albeit we’ll be here if you need us.
So, from every single one of us at Bartier Perry we wish you and the ones you care about, a safe and restful holiday break.
