Starting your legal career is a big step and choosing the right graduate lawyer program can make all the difference.

At Bartier Perry, our 12‑month Graduate Lawyer Program at our Sydney office, is designed to help you hit the ground running, with real client work, supportive coaching and structured learning from day one.

You’ll rotate through two different Practice Groups, giving you hands‑on experience across different areas of law and helping you identify where you’d like to build your practice. Throughout the graduate lawyer program, you’ll work alongside experienced lawyers who involve you in meaningful matters and make time for questions and feedback.

The program begins with a structured induction to help you settle in and get to know the firm, followed by ongoing training and development throughout the year. You’ll also be supported day‑to‑day by Senior Associates, who play an active role in mentoring, supervising and helping you build confidence as you grow.

Launched in 2026, Bartier Perry’s Graduate Lawyer Program focuses on learning, collaboration and development in an environment where you’re encouraged to ask questions, get involved and start shaping your career from the outset.

Additionally, candidates will benefit from:
