CEO Update: Growing Bartier Perry
As a leader in a law firm one of the most satisfying parts of my job is seeing talent progress through the firm.
We have invested heavily in developing our talent pipeline and in particular ensuring a greater number of women come through to senior roles. There’s more work to do but we remain committed to recognising, developing, supporting, and promoting a diverse range of talent within the firm.
In recent years we have complemented that approach through bringing in lateral hires including partner appointments.
In the last two months we’ve appointed five new lateral partners, Rebecca Hegarty, Andrew Grima, Shawn Skyring, Nicholas Kallipolitis and Fiona Hoad.
Collectively they bring over eight decades of legal experience.
Rather than growth for growths sake these lateral appointments are growth for client’s needs.
Focusing in on what clients’ current and future requirements are and ensuring we have the resourcing and expertise to meet that.
As an example, we know that in our Private Client space there is a huge inter-generational shift occurring in managing, operating, and handing over family assets or private businesses. That complex process can be even more challenging if there is friction or break-ups within a family unit. The 20 plus years of experience Fiona brings can be invaluable for navigating through that.
And as our number of clients continue to grow so too must the scope of our offering.
We’ve looked to ensure we balance client growth while not compromising on cultural fit. Equally the partners who have come into the firm in recent years have brought fresh ideas and grown flourishing practices.
Rebecca, Andrew, Shawn, Nicholas and Fiona not only bring extensive experience in their respective practice areas but also strong alignment with Bartier Perry from a cultural, professional and client service perspective.
It’s an exciting way to kick off 2023.
