PRESS RELEASE: Bartier Perry appoints new partners and associates

Bartier Perry has continued its strong growth in appointing three new partners, six senior associates and two associates.

“The firm is continuing its organic and lateral growth trajectory despite the broader challenges of COVID-19,” said Bartier Perry CEO Riana Steyn.

“I’m particularly pleased that our commitment to bring more women through to partnership is reflected in our senior associate and associate appointments. As CEO and with the backing of the Board, I’m focused on ensuring there is a strong bridge from senior associate to partnership.”

Ms Steyn said with most law firms seeking to lift female partnership numbers that Bartier Perry would continue to put a particular focus on internal promotions.

“It’s a positive in one sense, that in the wider market the contest to attract talented lateral female partner hires remains very strong. It’s critical though that we take a longer to medium term view in growing our female partnership pipeline,” said Ms Steyn.

Ms Steyn said the partner and associate appointments were across a range of practice areas reflecting consistent growth across the Sydney-based firms core expertise.

New partners Adam Cutri and Mark Glynn were part of a busy Commercial Disputes and Property, Planning and Construction teams that were managing a number of nationally focused matters.

The third partner appointment is workers compensation specialist Michael Lamproglou who joins the firm as a lateral partner hire from Turks Legal.
