Career highlights

  • Advising a university on monetising residential accommodation using an innovative long-term asset management and revenue assignment structure. This involved balancing the commercial requirements of an investor and its bank with the statutory and pastoral responsibilities of the university to its resident students.

  • Advising a major club on a landmark agreement for the redevelopment of its CBD premises.

  • Advising a peak industry body, the Hire & Rental Industry Association, on the implications of the Personal Property Securities Act and on reforms to it. This work has resulted in a number of major enacted and proposed changes to the law.

  • Advising on the merger to create Australia’s largest parking services business (Secure/Kings) and on subsequent asset management transactions.

  • Advising one of the big four banks on lending and security issues for 15 years, including on vehicle finance.
